Kintyre continued...
Here are some more photos from my trip to Kintyre - the last lot I promise ;)
As well as walking on beautiful heather covered moors and eating seafood we also visited some fabulous beaches. It was a bit too chilly to go swimming, although we did see quite a few surfers (the waves were ace if you're into that kind of thing).
Here's me decked out in waterproof trousers at Carradale Bay, a really beautiful sweeping beach to the south of the village. We had to walk through some woodlands to get to the bay, and the beach was more or less deserted. I also must mention the Carradale Hotel where we had tasty fishcakes before heading for the beach and is worth visiting if you're in the area.

Another beautiful beach is Machrihanish. The beach is massive and the sun came out when we were there...

I love this photo - it's the light reflecting off the water on the sand -
And finally, another gratuitous photo of me knitting on my beautiful sheepskin rug. Mmmmm...
A huge thank you to Jane and Jill for letting us use their caravan - thank you thank you thank you! And also to Lady Sarah for suggesting we visit Kintyre and for all the top tips of where to go. You're a star!
